    No the hole is towards the back of the photo where the piston rod goes out to attach to the crankshaft it looks like the oil light in most cars or a genies lamp

    I removed the sleeve due to being damaged. I just want to be sure that the hole will not be able to compromise the engine before I add new parts.

    Yes I removed it because it was busted. The hole im refering to is just below the opening in the shape of and oil light on a car dash

    I am rebuilding my engine and found this small hole below my piston rod. Will this effect my engine once I change sleeve, piston and rings.
