    When I put timing light on number 1 spark plug wire, the light flashed on flywheel 180 degrees out. took it to a mechanic and he said there was a problem in switchbox.     1968 mercury 200 flywheel

    I have a mercury 200 20 hp that has a flywheel that can be taken apart. I believe the previous owner took it apart and may have incorrectly put it back together. Seloc service manual does not cover this. Any help will be appreciated. Crankshaft key and magnet angles.
