    Help with 1989 Evinrude 6hp lower unit seal

    I have removed the lower unit of my 1989 Evinrude 6hp and now I can not get it to go back together. I am have problems with the gear **** rod, the rod that places the prop in forward and reverse. I cant seem to get the rod to seat back in position in the lower unit. Any help would be great...
