    will a johnson 40 1979 (40R79E) crankcase be interchangeable with a 1960 40hp (rds22) Crankcase?

    HI i currently have a johnson from 1979 (40R79E) and the crank case of it has corroded and a piston sleeve has cracked. I know someone who has a 1960 (rds 22) crankcase which seems in good condition. any idea if the crank case could be exchanged and wheater the bolts will match? Thanks in...
