    89 evinrude suddenly idles at 2100 rpm

    My 90 hp VRO had been idling at 700 rpm and now all of a sudden idles at 2100 rmp , I had the VRO bypassed recently and went to premix, it didn’t seem to change the idle speed but now it idles high , butterfly fly valves on the carbs all seem fully closed , could there be an air leak somewhere...

    Idle too high

    I have a 1989 90 hp vro, it idled at 600-700 rpm on the muffs the first 12 times I rinsed it, all of a sudden it wants to idle at 2100 rpm, the throttle linkage comes just too but doesn’t quite touch the roller arm on the carb, the butterfly valves on the carbs appear fully closed and the fuel...
