    1989 110 hp outboard crankshafts

    I have a 1989 Johnson 110 that has a chunk (about 1 inch wide by 1.5 inch long) taken out of the crankshaft below the splines so I am planning to replace it, if I can find a replacement not more expensive then the boat. A replacement for my year is available but at 2-3 times the price of one...
