    1984 (i think might be 1985) 30 HP adding a eletric start

    I have a 1984 Mariner 30HP that has only manual start on it now. Has oneone ever put a eletric start flywheel and starter on one. Looks to me that the flywheel are the same other than the ring gear. I can not find the starter bracket or know if it would fit on mine. Any help would be appreciated

    Has anyone been able to find just the bushing for the lower unit gears on these motors. I have 2 50hp motors and looking at another lower unit this week and everyone I talk to say that when the bushing go out you have to buy the whole gear to replace them. Has anyone tried making their own...
