    1975 40hp johnson losing power on top end

    Motor starts and runs great. When I gradually accelerate to full throttle it loses power at full speed. When I pull back on throttle to about 1/2 to 3/4 speed it recovers and runs great. Push it back up to full throttle it seams like it is runs out of gas at full speed.. Anyone know what maybe...

    40EL75 Johnson..This motor has a 5 inch extention housing with longer drive shaft. The water tube coming from crankshaft stayed in the exhaust tube when I pulled the gearcase. There was also a water tube attached to water pump. How do I reinstall water tubes so they will connect. Do I put the...
