    Boat loses prime HELP!!!!!

    boat has a 350 and a OMC stringer electric shift boat stopped picking up water so replaced the impeller. Now I start the outdrive in a 50 gallon with a hose hooked up when the boat starts I shut the hose off and let it pick up itself it will keep prime for a couple minutes then slowly loses...
