    2005 Johnson 115 hp 2 stroke. Identify a bolt?

Thanks, I wondered what the thread size was. I'm thinking of putting a dual gauge kit in, and it seems to have the same thread.

    2005 Johnson 115 hp 2 stroke. Identify a bolt?

If you measure the thread, please post the results; thinking of doing the same as my next project.

    2005 115 hp PLSOR intake overpressure/raw gas

Yep, looks like it. Somebody messed with the reeds before me (shims missing, reeds look flipped). Replaced with aftermarket, problems seem to have gone away. Idles better and smoke is down to reasonable amounts, too.

    2005 Johnson 115 hp 2 stroke. Identify a bolt?

Parts catalog lists it as #332135, plug, cylinder head pressure tap. I imagine, this is where you screw optional water pressure sensor.

    2005 115 hp PLSOR intake overpressure/raw gas

OK... saga continues. New powerhead, redone carbs. Engine sneezes at idle, crossflow line come off fittings (green arrow, view from starboard), and a spray of fuel comes out. Can't think of anything other than excessive intake pressure, and don't see any way for that to happen other than reeds...

    Tilt/trim hinge: how tight?

Since the engine is off the boat, ant tilt/trim unit is off for rebuild, I tried moving the tilting part by hand. Can only do it with a great effort - is it normal? On one hand, it acts like a friction lock. On the other, this is the extra resistance hydraulics would have to overcome, especially...

    2005 J115PLSOR powerhead vacuum/drain lines

Anybody has a diagram? The old powerhead had half of them missing, and the new one did not come with a manual. Thanks!

2005 Johnson 115 PLSOR (2-stroke) weird fuel leak

OK. This is what I discovered wrenching around. The leak is coming from between the metering body and the throttle body. The seal between the two is almost new, but the mating face of the metering body seems to be warped slightly (kinda like the way fuel bowls warp on this model). I wonder if...

Obsolete temperature switch, what are the options?

OK, so I looked at the schematic again (2005 115 PLSOR). The switch seems to be 2-in-1, with B/W (warm-up) wire running to the ECM, and Tan (overheat) wire running to the starboard switch and forward to the dashboard. Both switches seem to connect their respective wires to the ground when...

2005 Johnson 115 PLSOR (2-stroke) weird fuel leak

So there it that PLSOR that I had for... 3 years now, or so. Carbs redone about 2 years ago, VRO pump replaced with the one from previous generations. Runs good, clean (for a 2-stroke), and nice, no sheen on the water. Developed a weird fuel leak recently. If I let it sit for about a week...

Obsolete temperature switch, what are the options?

Nah, I don't have an immediate problem; mostly interested in designing it out of a sporting interest, and in case somebody else might find it useful. Thanks for the tip, though.

Obsolete temperature switch, what are the options?

Is this still relevant? I am working on a solution for 2005 115 Johnson; open to posting progress and ideas for review, criticism, ridicule and other uses here if there is enough interest.
