    Engine will not continue to run when put in gear

    I recently purchased a boat wh I recently purchased a boat which has a 1gm10 diesel. The problem is that it runs in the neutral position for about 8 minutes then shuts off and it is hot. We have replaced the water line and am now thinking it may be the impellar.Any suggestions.
