    ESA and Electronic ignition

    I need to replace the ESA on my 1989 OMC. I see the only one available is this CDI unit. http://www.marineengine.com/newparts/part_details.php?pnum=CDI123-9898-P Is it compatible with electronic ignition? I am considering upgrading to electronic ignition.
