    alarm constant crackle in alarm like a short in alarm speaker

    I have a 50 hp mariner 1996 which has had very little use, it is like new. I am getting a constant crackle coming from the control box alarm. I have checked oil and water sensor alarms and they sound crisp and clear. could the rectifier be the issue? thanks for your help
