    difference in impeller housing

    I am rebuilding the water pump on my 1981 2 cycle 25 hp. The impeller housing on the currently installed pump has a shaft seal installed, but the housing in the water pump kit won't fit a seal, it has a series of ribs going around the inside of the spot where the shaft seal should go. Does...
