    1991 3.0l has a rattlle in the back of the motor when the stern drive is up?

    I have a 1991 3.0L Mercruiser when I lift the stern drive all the way up it rattles really bad at the back of the motor. when I lower the drive it quits down. I just bought this boat and the guy I bought it off of said he replaced the gimbal bearing. Just seeing if anyone has an idea about it...
