    1996 evinrude Jet motor tiller 28 HP at Nozzle

    I was traveling up river, full throttle, & everything was working fine. After 15 minutes, the drive popped into reverse. It broke the mounting clamps at the bend, & threw the motor up onto the back seat. What would cause the jet drive to shift into reverse at full throttle? Please help.
