    6hp Yamaha and drive shaft to pinion model 6M8 2 stroke

    I'm replacing the impeller and when I went to slide the old impeller off, shaft came out of the case...should that have happened? I can what looks like a circlip at the end of the shaft. I'm having trouble pushing the shaft back in.
