    yamaha 2006 90hp safety switch bracket

    i have a 2006 90hp 2 stroke , the safety switch bracket broke. this bracket has a hole in one end that goes around the shift rod . does anyone know wether the powerhead has to come off to replace this bracket. or do i just have to take the gearcase off in order to replace the bracket? thanks gerard
