    yeah so the stator can sit it basically 3 different positions, I've tried all 3 and it doesn't seem to affect the timing marks at all, ill have to go through and check all the part numbers when I get time this weekend maybe that will be the issue. but all wires are hooked to the right cylinder...

    ive tried that, made sure TDC matches to 0 degrees on the flywheel at the pointer, the issue is when cranking the engine no timing marks show at the pointer. if you move the timing gun around the flywheel they will be opposite to the pointer. basically showing its trying to spark at BDC.
