    1996 Evinrude 9.9 hp 4 strok

    Question, is it normal to have blowback when I remove the oil dipstick on my 1996 Evinrude 9.9 hp 4 stroke? If not what might be the possible issue. What I do know is it will start and idle but when you throttle up it will die off and pop and crack sometime while doing so.
