    1977 evinrude 6hp will not run at speed without choke on

    The motor will idle & rev in neutral, but will not run under power without the choke on, & then runs poorly. When choke is pushed in, motor revs up momentarily then seems to run out of gas unless choke is pulled out again. It has been that way since I got it. I have cleaned the carb & checked...
