    Yeah I thought that also and was hoping someone had the same issue but will see if anyone else has any ideas and start with the thermostat.

    20 hp check engine alarm at idle

    I have a Mercury 20 hp outboard that is a 2022 and every time I run it for 20 or 30 minutes when I slow down and idle for a bit the alarm goes off and puts it into limp mood. I turn it off and start it again and everything runs great. Any suggests on what to do?
