    Took my prop off my 280 VP. Th Took my prop off my 280 VP. The wire cutter spacer was arched in 4 spots. What can you do to hold it in place when you assemble it. Do you have to get a new one and spot weld?

    I have a 1976 280 with a V8 an I have a 1976 280 with a V8 and had a bad intermidate housing. I 've picked up a nice working 1978 280 from a 4 cyl. Can I just put my upper gear box from my V8 on the 4 cyl unit? Is the lower prop ratio ok? any advice would be helpful.

    How do I get the steering fork How do I get the steering fork to come out? I took the bolt out of the steering arm in the engine compartment but it doesn't want come out. I tap on the top but it dosen't want to drop down.

    "My 1976 V8 280VP intermidiate "My 1976 V8 280VP intermidiate housing is very corroded and the bearings are squeaking and make it hard to steer from salt water most likely. What housings will interchange with it. I found a housing from a dual prop, will it work?"
