    :)iI have a 76 or 77 25 hp evinrude out board that runs awsomee it wont stay in gear . I s there some adjustment i cant see to remedy this problem if i hold onto the shift lever it will stay engaged thanx for any leads to solve this problem mike

    been working on a different motor for old whaler. compression good. starts easy. revs up in 55gallon barrel in gear with cowl off but when i put the cowl on it just bogs and wont rev. anybody had this one before
