    No Serial number or model number on id tag

    I have a 50hp Johnson that doe I have a 50hp Johnson that does not have the serial number or model number on the tag. I have been told that the number on the freeze plug is the serial number. Is this true. My motor has the number C7112702. What does this tell me? Thanks.
