    5L Merc surging and sluggish out of the hole

    I have been having issues with my 5L V8 - on start-up, very sluggish out of the hole - sometimes only getting 2000 RPM - after warming up, can get better, but then when cruising at mid-range RPMs, notice surging. No issues when reving in neutral. My mechanic has checked out the basics...
