    Oil found on carburetor and air filter

    Mercruiser 5.7/v8 alpha one Today while pulling the air filter off to clean, I found oil around the top of the carburetor and also on the plastic top cover. Any suggestions for what this might be? I am in the middle of a lake trip and wondered if I should pull the boat off the water?
