    It works. It's a manual tilt assist one. But as mentioned before I use a screwdriver to lift the plunger under the plastic nut where the cable connects. It stays in the up position. The bottom screw I drilled out has been replaced with a bolt 😁. There is one on top that might be the drain to...

    I got the screw out and the cable off. Just need a new screw and cable. Then refill.

    I am currently trying to disconnect the cable on my Evinrude 40 model BE40ELEIA. The engine is off of the boat. The cable has been cut but on my first attempt I couldn't disconnect it. The engine lifts up a little. The pressure screw is rounded off.
