    1982 80 hp mercury el jetting carbs

    What size carb jets should I run on a 1982 mercury 80 hp ? Altitude is around 2900 ft. carbs have a main jet and a vent jet , would wrong jet cause a idle problem. what does the main jet do and what does the vent jet do ?

    carb problem

    1982 mercury 80 hp , Motor starts great won't idle below 1000-1100 rpm , top carb adjusted 1 1/2 turns out, bottom carb adjusted all the way in to run best . What causes this ? I am New here
