    New Merc 9.9 - Seems like throttle restricted

    Hello, I now have a 2023 9.9 4 stroke Merc. It "seems" like it only will go to 50% throttle when in gear. The Merc i am replacing is a 1987 2 stroke 8 hp and it goes twice the speed on the same boat. Perplexed and will appreciate any tips! Thank you! Dennis

    Thanks, hmmm, when i take it out it performs smoothly until it gets up to an=bout half throttle then the handle will not turn more.

    Hello, thank you for any tips. We have a new 9.9 HP mercury 4 stroke. I am four hours from dealer. Motor runs fine, in neutral throttles up fully... I will call that 100% throttle. When I put into gear it max's out at under 50% ... any tips on how to adjust and get full throttle in gear...
