    I worked in industry selling bearings ... so I have theory knowledges about it . I guess Shim in this case is to Preload the tapered roller bearing ? is it right ? I know the idea but never done in practice ... will need help to choose the good shim value

    The part i have to remove is Washer Number 64 ( what i called spacer) It seems to be fixed by salt ... impossible to move and it block the shaft... I think i have to drill it to desintagrate it... no possibility to get it with an extractor

    I pay Half price Yamaha spare parts because I work for automotive industrie. Also I have bearings for free... Only cost the handwork ... I will do my best to repair I'm not in a hurry
