Update: manage to have calm enough weather last Friday to do some testing (with wife on board) with Bennett trim tabs (hydrofoil removed) and an rpm monitor installed, and got some est. modest results and comparison between the stock 3 blades 14...

    I recently replaced a stock 3 blades 14 (dia.) x 13 (pitch) prop on an Evinrude 1996 70hp, with a Polarstorm 4 blades 13.4 (dia.) x 15 (pitch) hoping to push a 15 ft Baja Blast, to more than 35 knots as it used to with stock, WOT. To my disappointment the boat can't seem to get past 30-32...

    Resquest input on Shift rod height for 1996-97 70 hp Evinrude E70TLEUM 20" shaft, please

    FYI: Tried one nearest it's current height, which is in neutral (L) 21 23/32" +- 1/32 or 21.72 in (551.7 mm) and it works, shifting between f n r is good and predictable, with the usual slight thud as it engages.
