    1986 9.9 no spark

    Only getting spark in the one cylinder. I've replaced coil pack, Wire is good, plugs are fine. Every once in a while i'll get spark. When it runs it will jump like its going to kick in but doesnt. I'm thinking its one of two things. Wiring harness or stator. Any help would be appreciated...

    1986 9.9 coil pack

    I'm replacing a coil pack for my 9.9 and the instructions say to place a light coat of RTV sealer on the thru-hole core before placing in the coil. Did that but there is way too much play between the two pieces and I cant see how there suppose to seal together. Shouldn't it be a snug fit, the...
