    Thanks so much. I kind of thought the same, as both gaskets are identical, not mirrors of each other. Appreciate the feedback.

    260 Mercruiser, quicksilver head gasket placement.

    Hi, I am replacing the head gaskets on my 1984 260 Mercruiser. Using quicksilver oem gaskets. I'm trying to figure out if there is a specific side that has to go up? One side as " Marine" written alongthe lower portion of the gasket. The other side nothing. Anybody got a clue?
