    1976 johnson 55hp loose at swivle mount

    Today I noticed alot of slop between the swivel bracket and the mount bracket. Ive included pic and link to video. Is there a bushing or something I need to replace? I looked at parts diagram but only saw a bushing at the top of swivel. http://youtu.be/wTHWG1SfsPA

    Don't know how much of the story you got, but after I lapped the flywheel, and drive-shaft tapers, the flywheel stopped slipping and I was able to get a nice purr out of it. It still needs a little tweaking, but It idles well and runs great. From December to now it went from this

    You are correct racerone, I went and looked back at the parts diagram of that small one i used to have and then I remembered it was the intake manifold I was thinking about, and not the exhaust. What can i say ive slept, and drank lots of times since then, lol
