    The belt doesn't look glazed but I like the "squirt of water" suggestion. I don't want to start it now because it's winterized and it will be well below freezing for months to come. This is a V belt alternator.

    That number I gave is the only one on the prop. If I go by that number it looks to me to be a 21 pitch prop. Looking online I see 14", 14 1/4" and 15" prop diameters with that pitch which is why I was asking about diameter. Do they all have the cupping on the edge of the prop? I don't see...

    New boat to me. It has a Mercruiser 5.7L Alpha 1 Gen 1 Engine serial number OC759123. The 3 blade prop on the outdrive now is number QA1918X21P. This prop looks small for the outdrive so I'm looking to verify if it is the correct OEM prop and purchase a spare prop. Any help would be appreciated.

    I hate to start throwing parts at it when there are 5 parts to the system. I don't think it's the late style actuator since it's a 1990 and online parts seem to be showing the replacement as old style. If there is a lag what does it tell me?
