    New pistons, bored, overhauled, new plugs, pwr pack, carbs cleaned, new tank, hoses, quick connects, motor opens WOT for take off but acts like sucks air at top speed and cuts out, also a used stator was put on, before that wouldn't even get on top..

    74 Rude 115

    Recently bored and new pistons, 115lbs on all 4 cyl, cranks right up, idles fine, just before my boat gets on top, engine kills, cranks right back up. What's meant by "checking the overheats"? tan wires, see if 12v is there or what?
