    1989 Evenrude 150xp regulator smoking

    I bought a bass boat I have a 1989 evenrude 150xp had a bad powerpack replaced it got spark engine runs how ever after running on the hose for 2 min the regulator started smoking a lot !!! Like almost caught on fire . Once I removed the battery cable it stoped ... so then I removed the power...
