    motor will not maintain speed, 1973 jonhson 50hp (50esl73r)

    hey guys as in the title i have a 73 johnson 50 hp, i have tried new plugs and the motor IS firing on both cylinders, it drives the regular speed in reverse but when put in forward it is very slow, i cannot solve this problem so if anyone can help that would be awesome! chris j
