Hello again . I tried the procedure to prime oil pump. At first it didn't work. On the 3rd try I did hear the pump solenoid. It only ran for about 5 sec. I was not able to activate again. Tried 10 times. Not sure what's happening. I do have 1 lubrication hose disconnect at air pump so I could...
Thanks , I will try that. I'm also looking at installing an extra starting battery in parallel with my 800 crank amp battery. Voltage drop during starting can cause issues with cold start which have been documented in other posts here. I will be posting my updates on issues until I resolve them.
Update on Repairs: I found the oil pump o-ring was causing pump to leak. This was causing an oil slick when boat was on the water.
Waiting on a tech to come out and prime the pump.
The battery only had 10.3 volts , put on trickle charger. Another forum had many posts that say 800 CCA...
Update on the problems , I removed the side cowling covers because I had oil dripping off onto the cowling. Looks like the oil pump is leaking....not from the hoses but the drop of oil on the housing of the oil pump and onto the electrical fitting. All the wrap around the 2 wires that power the...
Thanks , I will check those. Low voltage is a good possibility. Got back from the last test and checked volts , 10.8 volts. But on cold start , will not fire. only with a shot of starting fluid , after that it's good.
I replaced the mechanical pump , Low pressure and high pressure pumps. Removed vapor separator and put it in carb dip. Checked float. Pumps came from Wholesale Marine. So the choke system is electronic enriching the fuel when cold to change the air/fuel ratio.
I read a post that stated the RPMs...
I,m having an issue with motor bogging down intermittently around 2 or 3k rpm. Replaced all pumps , fuel filter ,primer bulb , fuel lines. Checked for vapor lock ok. I will also get a bunch of beeps at times , intermittently.
Also the first start cold , motor will not start with key...
In your 2nd pic , the white cylindrical on linkage , there should be an arm that pushes against it to move the linkage. Mine is an 84 model 110hp Evinrude. I took some pics of mine , my remote cables aren't hooked up. I checked my Seloc manual and found nothing showing the linkage setup...
