    yamaha 9.9 4 stroke carb rebuild

    I am rebuilding a carb on a 1989 Yamaha 9.9 4 stroke and have the car soaking in chem dip. The question I have is do I need to remove this silver plug to get to what is underneath it or leave it alone??? anyone??

    I have taken apart my carb on my 9.9 and need to know if the main jet has the open half towards the engine or towards the air intake?? thx
