    82 and 87 mercury 25hp lower unit swap

    I have both motors, the 87 runs great but has a bad lower unit. The 82 has a misfire but a good lower unit. The 87 is a long shaft and the 82 is a short shaft. Would I be able to swap the lower units and turn the 87 into a short shaft?
