    57l Engine advice needed

    "Got a 5.7 Mercruiser-1996 tha "Got a 5.7 Mercruiser-1996 that started blowing oil out of the vents. Was getting blow-by in the starboard valve cover. Checked the valves and all look to be working fine....checked the compression and # 5 is dead...more than likely a hole in the piston...
