    Some use PT wood for trailer bunks and for flooring or decking in aluminum Jon boats. My boat is the latter. Would the entire wire length be tinned? I’m retired so I “do some really bad work” all week long!

    All true, but I suspect galvanic corrosion as when copper sulphate treated wood is used in an aluminum hull. It will corrode the aluminum. The entire length, not just the connection, of the trigger wire looked as if it oxidized, crumbling in my hands. The insulation was almost non existent...

    Trim pump hoses

    How much pressure does the trim/tilt pump put out? Mine are bad, the braided cover is deteriorated from sun exposure and there’s plastic tubing left. Pressure could be that high. Trying to avoid the $100 each x 4!

    Previous owner patched a copper wire onto the switch box from the trigger. They used a butt connector. The wire from the trigger was aluminum which was very brittle and broke.
