    Forward gear removal, 2005 Johnson 50HP

    I'm taking apart a lower unit on my 2005 Johnson 50 J50PLSOC. I have the unit totally taken apart except for the forward gear which will not come out. I have removed everything, the propeller shaft, shift lever, pinion gear etc. but for the life of me I can tell how to remove the forward gear...
