    2004 xr6 mercury 150hp serial ot862291 oil tank on motor

    I in process of cleaning oil tank on motor part 99443- 6. when I dumped old oil out a small metal tube fell out it is knarled on one end and about 1 inch long and I have no idea what it is or where it goes. any help would truly be appreciated.
