    Good morning jgmo, I failed to mention that I took the compression on my engine. 128-#1, 131#2, !33#3 on a cold engine.Will this make a difference on the advice given? thank-you in advance

    May: new oil.- July oil level- one inch above full. -2nd oil change. Sept. one inch above full. Cylinders 1&2, plugs are black. Black soot on exhaust port. Engine on a pontoon, alot of 1500 rpm cruising. When needed will run at 5200 rpm with no issues.

    New plug in #1 same results, turns black. Do not have a spark tester. The carb work was done by someone else.

    Good morning, thank-you for the quick reply. No. 1 cylinder is running way too rich. The carbs were taken off and cleaned. The last 2 or 3 years the #1 (or top) cylinder spark plug and exhaust port are black. Do you think I'm barking up the wrong tree with wanting to tune the carb? All in all...

    Not able to ajust pilot screw because of limiter. How do I proceed??
