    2003 Johnson 140 tilt and trim noise

    I have a 140 Johnson the makes noise when I raise it up. It sounds like it has air in the system. My son topped of the oil in the tank. Still does it. Can anyone tell me what the " manual set valve does"? Could it be bleeding by this valve? Thanks for your help. Bruce
