    Disconnecting the shift rod from lower unit on a 1976 evinrude motor

    Hi i was wondering if someone Hi i was wondering if someone could tell me how to disconnect the shift rod from the lower unit on my motor. I had looked at it and can't figure it out. It is a 55HP johnson evinrude motor. Please let me know ASAP if anyone knows thank you very much.
