    Nothing looked wrong under flywheel. I couldn't find an obvious set of wires coming out of the powerpack for the safety cutoff. Many had connectors and most went to a vertical strip of terminal connections having a snap cover. I was about to do a trial an error or process of elimination...

    I've had this 1998 Evinrude 115 SPL for 6 years, always runs, no problems....Rebuilt the carbs, cleaned them, all new fuel in tank, rebuilt fuel pump (non VRO), new plugs properly gapped, it ran for 1.5 hours smoothly and like new out on the bay. As I was returning to the marina at about 3/4...
